Ornaments

For several years I have intended to make some ornaments for Christmas, but it always seemed to be last on the 'to do' list. This year I finally decided to practice, and this is what I've made so far. Be warned!! These items are somewhat large and so are the graphics. Please be patient, it's worth the wait (which isn't near as long as it took me to make them - 'grin')

This one was the first one I did - very basic vertical netting in green & gold. My oldest daugher, Jarah, got this one for Christmas.
This one was done for my youngest daughter, Alina. Her favorite color is blue and this is done in an iridescent blue with milk-white iridescent pressed glass flowers and other shapes.
This one was for my 'middle' daughter, Vanessa, who recently graduated from the University of Oregon. Hence, the green & yellow.
I got this great, almost flourescent, pink at Embellishments one year - and I just love it with black. The triangular drops give it a very 'art deco' feel. The netting was done vertically with a spiral pattern, when you look at it from the top, it looks like a flower.
This one was inspired by Delta Waldt, our Advertising Coordinator for the Portland Bead Society. She was making one in iridescent pinks & whites during one of our board meetings, and I thought it was just gorgeous - I love drapey scallops. I did this in black with silver-lined turquoise bugles and clear turquise beads. Delta's was much nicer, but this was only my second try at doing the scallops.
